  • DfR Guidelines March 2026

    Dear user,

    Welcome back to the RecyClass Online Tool! We would like to inform you that since your last connection several updates have been made with the publication of new Design for Recycling Guidelines for HDPE, PP, PS rigid packaging, PE and PP flexibles, PET bottles and thermoforms on March 11.

    Changes to the Guidelines include, among others:

    • Update of DfR guidelines on electron-beam treatment for PE flexible packaging
    • Update of DfR guidelines on printing inks for PE and PP flexible packaging
    • Update of DfR guidelines on barriers for PP rigid packaging
    • Update of DfR guidelines on additives and printing inks for HDPE and PP rigid packaging
    • Update of DfR guidelines on barriers and label materials for PS rigid packaging
    • Update of DfR guidelines on additives, closure materials and printing inks for PET bottles
    • Update of DfR guidelines on sealants for PET thermoforms

    These updates are based on new laboratory findings. More information can be found following the links present in the DfR Guidelines and in the Technical Reviews.

    Bentornato allo strumento online RecyClass! Vorremmo informarti che dall'ultima connessione lo strumento è stato aggiornato per riflettere la nuova versione della metodologia di riciclabilità RecyClass.

    Le modifiche alla metodologia includono, tra le altre:

    • Revisione delle classi di riciclabilità: soppressione delle classi D, E ed F.
    • Revisione dei marchi di riciclabilità
    • Revisione del calcolo del contenuto di plastica riciclabile
    • Soppressione delle parti 4 e 5 della fase di valutazione delle incompatibilità di progettazione per il riciclaggio: conformità REACH e contenuto riciclato.

    Dear user,

    We are pleased to inform you that the RecyClass Online Tool has been updated to facilitate your experience and to give you access to additional features and information.

    We extended the scope of the tool to non-plastic packaging, starting with Aluminum and Steel packaging in collaboration with CIRCPACK. 

    The methodology, the questions and the results obtained via the tool for steel and aluminum are the responsability of CIRCPACK.
